What on earth was I saying to this man? I will never know because I can’t remember. This was at the Folk Club I set up in Guayacan, Coquimbo around 1995 when I lived in Chile. I was introducing the band to the club one Saturday night.
The musicians I put in to illustrate the Magi were the Tuna de Antofagasta. Tuna groups earn money by singing and they wear traditional Spanish university student clothing. The tradition dates back to the 13th century in Spain, Portugal and Latin America.

This was the closest I could get to a picture of the Three Kings visiting from afar.
Most of the images were of comets as the Star of Bethlehem was almost certainly a comet. Comets do what the Star of Bethlehem did – they point down before disappearing. The image in the middle below is of a comet close up. It’s a misshapen conglomerate of dust, water ice and tar.

I will be taking a break from posting for a while as I am busy moving house.
